The Respiratory Department is located on the first floor of the southeast corner of Magnolia City Hospital, and includes the Respiratory Care Department and Sleep Lab Departments.
The Respiratory Department plays a major role in the care of critically-ill patients.
The Respiratory Department provides both diagnostic services and therapeutic services treating patients ranging from neonatal to geriatrics. Our services are also available as an inpatient or outpatient service and in the emergency department as well.
Some of the services we provide include: Pulmonary function studies (Diagnostic), EEGs, EKGs, Holter Monitors, Stress Test, Arterial Blood Gas Lab, and Ventilator Management, Updraft treatments, Oxygen Monitoring, Overnight pulse-ox monitoring and Sleep lab. All Sleep studies are done as an outpatient service and the patients register the day of the test or at night through the emergency department.
The Respiratory Care Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Sleep Lab is open Monday-Thursday 7pm to 7am.
The Respiratory Department is staffed with Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist Technicians and Support Staff.
